You may have noticed the LITTLE RED BOXES by the elevator doors.  These are called Knox Boxes and are a new requirement of the Lauderdale By The Sea Fire Department.  The Fire Department has the only key to the boxes.  They contain keys to start/stop the elevators and access the elevator equipment rooms in case of emergencies.  Please be careful not to hit yourself or damage the boxes. 6/29/2016

GBS VOLUNTEER INSURANCE:  All GBS owners can confidently continue their generous volunteer efforts and be covered by existing GBS Death, Dismemberment, Dental and Accident insurance. GBS has had this Volunteer insurance for many years. It covers up to 40 concurrent unit owners that are contributing volunteer time for the betterment of GBS.

BEACH ACCESS:   The county access, South of Ocean Colony has been paved.  It is very easy to walk to the beach.

LANDSCAPING:   The new artificial turf putting green is open for use thanks in part to BOB ZUGGER.  Please enjoy and follow the posted rules. - see the pictures!

BIKE SHED ANNEX:  We have a new place to put your bike when you are not using them.   Second floor East Building in the storage room over the trash room, now has hooks and space for 10 - 15 more bikes.  This may not be as convenient as the bike shed - but it is better than keeping them on your screened in porch and it cost < $20 - thanks to Susan, Paul & Ed.

EMERGENCY GENERATOR:  A group of GBS residents have purchased a portable generator with a 5 year onsite repair contract. This generator will be used during any extended power outage to power the clubhouse. It will have enough power to support the refrigerator, the TV, a microwave, a fan, cell phone chargers and some lights. Ed has read the book, tested the generator and given a class to anyone interested.  Instructions are posted with the generator and the BOOK is in the Condo office.   We have the 2018 gas supply.  We have a Sears pre-hurricane service appointment scheduled for Aug.
